Danette Stafford, MBA
Danette began her career in the accounting industry at Americal Airlines, a Van Nuys, CA start up that trained police pilots and rented small Cessna's airplanes,  in 1971.  Danette finds working with small business inspiring and aside from a few years spent with NASA on the Apollo-Soyuz mission, her 30 year career in accounting and business management has focused on building and supporting small business ventures, with an emphasis on entrepreneurship.  Says Danette, "It takes great passion and commitment to be a successful entrepreneur, to see a different path for yourself and reach for it.  It is creativity at its finest.   Helping someone achieve financial independence through entrepreneurism is immensely satisfying." 

In addition to her work at Stafford Accounting, Danette also teaches business and marketing classes at Everest College.  When asked about teaching Danette says, "I love teaching.  It is a great joy and a great challenge.  I am learning as much as my students." 

Danette's business experience has a strong educational base.  She earned an AA degree in Accounting from Los Angeles Valley College with cum laude honors.  She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a  Master's degree in Marketing, both with honors, from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, one of the top AACSB accredited universities in the United States.  Danette is currently pursuing her second Master's degree in Taxation from Bentley University in Massachusetts.

In her spare time, you can find Danette hiking the Colorado rockies with her three dogs, or working out at the YMCA.
